Weekend Masses

father_karl_216Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Palm Sunday or Passion Sunday Jesus is welcomed in triumph into Jerusalem and feted like a King. Pic- ture yourself in that crowd. Are you part of the cheering crowd who in a few days will be yelling for his crucifixion? Or are you one of the plotters con- spiring in the background? Who are you? Please read one of the accounts of the passion this week. Enter into it as a participant. Go to Jerusalem. Be part of the crowd. Journey to the upper room. Walk the way of the cross. Be at the tomb on Easter morning. In that way you will pray and meditate on and with the Lord and better get to know the kind of person you are and are more ready to rise with him on Easter Day. Let the journey continue, Fr Karl

father_karl_216Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, We listen this Sunday to the Story of Lazarus who was raised from the dead by Jesus. Jesus delayed his visit even though he knew Lazarus was sick. “Lord if you had been here my brother would not have died”. Every one of us at some stage of our life has to make a profession of faith. There are those moments when we know that God was present in our live, but so too like John of the Cross like Jesus himself on the cross we have the dark night of the soul. Those are the moments when we pray Lord I believe help thou my unbelief. For Martha and Mary it was the death of their brother who gave them both the moment of unbelief and the opportunity to profess faith in the Christ. Every Lent and Easter we are challenged to look anew at our faith and called to profess once again in the Lord who gives life.. “Life to the full.” The Journey continues, Fr Karl
