Announcements

Info from Diocese on updated Mask Guidelines and Capacity Restrictions

The Diocese announced plans to eliminate the mask requirement for the fully vaccinated and remove capacity limits on Friday, June 11.  This is contingent on the state entering Phase 5.

As mentioned during the June 6 weekend Masses, Fr. Karl will be reviewing this announcement and will work with our Re-unite Committee on changes the parish will impose.  We hope to have a decision on changes by Friday, June 11.

Our plans will include:

  • Continuing to offer at least one Mass in the parking lot.
  • Continuing to broadcast our weekend Mass on our YouTube channel.

Full details on the announcement from the diocese can be found HERE or see THIS article from The Patch.

Fundraiser for Daybreak Angels

Please help support the mission of the Daybreak Angels to eliminate hunger in our community!

Daybreak Angels’ mission has been to eliminate hunger in our community.  The group’s founder, Eliza Olson, organizes and schedules groups of volunteers to serve at the Daybreak Shelter in Joliet by preparing and serving meals.

The Angels would like to further expand their mission of eliminating hunger by getting out into the community to serve meals. To do this they would like to purchase a food truck so they can get meals out to the homeless.

To raise funds for their food truck fund the group will be holding a lunch fundraiser at Black Dog Vinyl Cafe in Plainfield on June 27.

Please help support the Angels and enjoy a good lunch by stopping by the Cafe!

Can’t make it to the cafe on the 27th?  You can still help by donating HERE.
