Dear Brothers and Sisters, Jesus enters Jerusalem. He is welcomed as a King. His disciples are delighted. It is how they had envisioned it. Jesus knows how fickle the crowd is and that this is only temporary. In a few days they will be calling for his crucifixion. The way of the cross is the way ahead and the road that leads to salvation. As we enter into Jerusalem with Jesus and begin the Journey of Holy week, we know that the Cross is the way of Salvation. Each and every one of us carries the cross. We can carry it reluctantly like Simon of Cyrene, did in the beginning, but he realized that his misfortune was a blessing or we can accept it as a blessing that leads us to the resurrection.. Jesus accepted the cross with all its pain and suffering knowing it was the way to salvation. “Lord as we enter Holy Week, help us accept the Cross for by your Cross you have redeemed the world” Fr Karl
