father_karl_216Dear Brothers and Sisters, The Gospel this week tells us that Jesus came to his native place. They had known him since he was a child and they were not impressed. Maybe they remembered some of his mischief.. his teen years. Who knows? But we have to ask ourselves have we behaved in this way? How often have we judged someone by their appearance, the clothes they wore, their accent or the color of their skin? These are some of the questions we need to ask ourselves before we make a judgement. We need to ask does familiarity breed contempt in our lives and how can we be less judgmental. Jesus reminds us of that so many times in the Gospel. How can I live out the Gospel values more fully in my life. Fr Karl
