Father_KarlLast summer as I was driving past a Baptist Church in the Boston area, I spotted a sign that read, “Faith is a gift, Believing is a journey” I am Karl Langsdorf, a priest of St Patrick’s Missionary Society (St Patrick Fathers). I was in Boston preaching Mission appeals for our Society. Since ordination I have served in Kenya, Ireland and the USA. For the last twenty years I have worked in promotion and fundraising for the society. I am the new Pastor. I do not replace anyone, I come trying to do the job as pastor as best I can. With your support and prayers we can make a difference. The sign in Boston struck a chord with me. The gift of faith – the journey of belief. Jesus walked the ways of Galilee, Samaria and Judea with his disciples, men and women, they talked they questioned and no doubt they argued and gossiped… its all in the Gospels and they jockeyed for positions and they learned and grew in faith. We too journey together, hopefully we will learn and grow in faith and wisdom as we pray together, struggle together and at times argue and disagree, but we will get there for “where two or three are gathered in my name I am in their midst” Pray for me as I will for you Fr Karl
