father_karl_216Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, We are into the last two weeks of ordinary time and then it’s the beginning of Advent. I am inviting you to try and read with us the book by Matthew Halbach Becoming a Parish of Mercy. I know the year of mercy is coming to an end but mercy never grows old or cold. Constantly in the readings we are reminded and challenged to reflect God’s mercy in our lives. We are called to break out of our security zone and reevaluate our lives and how we live. As we read this book together I would ask you to talk about it and if possible to get involved with the various reflection groups that will be part of the parish offerings during advent. At the end of advent we would like to hear your comments and your in- sights. The Lord reminds us in the Liturgy that the wonders of the temple and its glories will pass and that we will be challenged. He also reminds us that He will be with us at those times of difficulty. Let the Journey continue. Pray for me as I pray for you, Fr Karl
