Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Sometimes I am amazed at how people do not read a question or because the answer is in the question, they believe it to be a trick. To give an example here are a number of responses from a recent religious education test. On what day of the week does Ash Wednesday fall? Answer March On what day of the week does Easter Sunday fall? Answer April These are just a few examples of how we fail to communicate. We are in a hurry so we do not hear or see the obvious. Constantly I ask people to take a little time out to clear our minds and make space for God. If we fail to communicate at a human level because we are in a hurry, so too we will fail to communicate with God if we are rushed and busy and annoyed. So when you pray or come to church give yourself space to clear the mind and be still so that you can know that God is with you. Remember the gospel, Jesus goes away to a quiet place to pray and be alone with God.. Help us in Church to create that quiet space so that we can be alone and be with God.
