Dear Brothers and Sisters, Summer is often time for people to go away from their normal everyday activities to do something different. People go to a lake or take the camper out and travel long distances to see something different and to visit family and friends. Jesus in the Gospel today invites his disciples to come away and rest after they come back from their mission. All of us need rest and renewal, whether its rest from the daily rigors of work and school or time alone to pray and reflect on our lives and mission. The Gospels talk of Jesus going to a quiet place to pray, to renew communication with the Father. If we fail to take rest physically and spiritual then we will lose our physical and spiritual help. This summer take time out for God and renew the spirit within you. May the Journey of Faith Continue, Fr Karl
