Dear Brothers and Sisters, May is traditionally dedicated to the Virgin Mary and on this Sunday our first communicants will honor Mary by crowning her with a crown of flowers. We congratulate them and pray for them on their journey of Faith. It was Mary who said yes to the Angel Gabriel when she was asked to be mother of God’s son. The Hail Mary which we pray is a scripture based prayer a combination of the Angel and Elizabeth’s greeting to Mary. During the month of May I would invite you to pray that prayer as often as you can either on its own or in the rosary. When we honor Mary we also honor our mother’s and the sacrifices they made and make for us. This month as you for us, also ask her to pray for all mothers and their children. Pray for us O Holy Mother of God that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Fr Karl
