Dear Brothers and Sisters, Every Lent and Advent, I have asked people to think of others who are in need. In consultation with others I propose an organization or groups that could possibly benefit from our help. The Knights of Columbus proposed Operation care package as our proposed charity for Lent. We were a little late in starting, but thanks to Tom’s presentation and your generosity the results have been amazing. We are called as Christians to reach out to others, to help raise up those who are bowed down and to look out for the less fortunate in our communities. We are not looking for handouts but for a hand up. The generosity of the people of St Francis Xavier continues to amaze me. Thank you for that generosity and for showing others that you truly care. May the Lord continue to bless and protect you this Lenten season. Let the Journey continue, Fr Karl
