Liturgical Ministries
Liturgical ministry is an excellent opportunity to fulfill your baptismal call of service to one another.
Our liturgies utilize the talents and gifts that God has given this community to the fullest extent.
Whether participation is through “behind the scenes” preparation and planning or through a public role of service within the Mass, parishioner contributions help our liturgies to be truly life-giving celebrations.

Greeters
Greeters welcome those arriving for Mass. They also distribute and collects worship aids.

Bringing Forth Gifts / Offeratory
You can bring forth the gifts of bread and wine as well as collect the offeratory.
This is a great opportunity for families to participate in serving the Church.

Altar Server
Youth in grades 4-12 who have completed their First Communion are invited to become Altar Servers at SFX.
Training is provided as well as the opportunity to shadow an experienced Altar Server.

Lectors
A Lector proclaims God’s word to us through Biblical readings selected for the day. Lectors should be a confirmed Catholic who possesses the ability to read the texts with a loud, clear voice.

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion
If you are 16 years or older and a confirmed Catholic, you can be a Eucharist Minister and distribute Holy Communion during the Mass.
