Cursillo Ultreya

St. Francis Xavier is the designated parish in the Joliet area for Cursillo Ultreya. We typically meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month following the 6:30pm Mass.
Ultreya is a Spanish word that means “onward” and is used in the Cursillo community to describe a gathering of Cursillistas after a Cursillo weekend.
Ultreyas are a chance for Cursillistas to come together and:
- Support and encourage each other
- Grow in the Apostolic community
- Share their struggles and triumphs
- Reflect on the Life in Grace
- Discuss the three elements of Piety, Study, and Action
- Hold each other accountable to God and to each other
- Rejuvenate existing small groups
- Help new people join an existing friendship group
