Happy 18th. Anniversary St. Francis Xavier Parish!

Categories: Announcements

On Sunday, October 6, 2002 a new community of faith gathered for the first time to celebrate the Word of God and share in Eucharist.  The newly formed Catholic Community rented gym space at Ridge Elementary School in Plainfield.  Bishop Joseph Imesch, along with founding pastor, Father Dennis Lewindowski, welcomed the faithful and led the community in prayer.  Neighboring pastor, Father Anthony Nugent of St. Mary Immaculate Parish, concelebrated the Liturgy.

Today, 18 years later, the community of St. Francis Xavier has grown in faith, in spirit, and in number of parishioners.  Father Karl Langsdorf, Pastor, leads the parish which has grown to over 650 families.

May the Spirit of the Lord continue to bless us all!
